What a sweet, Christ-centered Sunday as we worshiped the Lord on the Sunday before Christmas—celebrating the incarnation, when Jesus entered the world to save and redeem His people. 🙏✨
We opened with prayer and a reminder to “set our hearts on the Audience of One,” asking the Holy Spirit to move with power—not just to inform minds, but to convert hearts.

Today’s service was filled with beautiful specials and classic carols that pointed us straight to the manger and the mission of Christ:

📖 Sermon: “The Savior Announced” (Luke 1:26–38)
In the message, we backed up to the moment when the angel Gabriel was sent to Mary with the announcement of Jesus’ birth. Key truths we were reminded of:
✅ God’s timing is always perfect (even when it doesn’t look “convenient” to us)
✅ Grace is woven into God’s providence — “favor” truly means grace
✅ God’s plan is perfect — the promise of David’s everlasting throne finds its fulfillment in Jesus
✅ Where God’s presence is found, God’s power is manifested — “The Holy Spirit will come upon you… and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”
✅ And when God works, surrender is the response — like Mary: “I am the Lord’s servant. May it happen to me as you have said.”
The invitation was clear: stop trying to control everything, and surrender to God, because nothing will be impossible with Him.

We also celebrated as Caleb and Maddie came forward to join PVCC—and we welcomed them with joy as God continues adding to our church family!
